More Than an Auction: Celebrating the Stories That Move Us

A New Chapter in Salem: Celebrating Our Growth and Rebrand

On Thursday, April 16, we are gathering at our Salem headquarters for a ribbon-cutting ceremony. While a ribbon-cutting often marks a "new" beginning, for us at Farmer Auctions, it is a celebration of the thousands of stories we’ve already had the honor to tell—and the many more yet to come.

The Privilege of the Story

At Farmer Auctions, we believe that no item is just an "object." Whether it is a hand-stitched quilt, a well-worn toolset, or a collection of letters, every piece represents a choice, a passion, or a memory. We often say that we learn the most about our clients through the things they have collected over a lifetime. To sit across a table and hear the history of a family heirloom—or to discover the significance of a lifelong hobby through a vast collection—is a profound privilege. We don't just move assets; we are entrusted with the narratives that have been passed down through generations.

A Community Milestone

Our growth over the years in Salem and the Roanoke Valley is a direct result of the trust you place in us during some of life’s most significant transitions. This celebration is our way of saying "thank you" for letting us into your homes and your histories. Our team—led by Jarrod Hines and our dedicated staff—remains committed to the same core value: treating every client’s story with the respect and care it deserves.
